One of Crystal Castle’s most beloved treasures, Rosie is a stunning four-tonne mini mountain of rose quartz. Nestled in the heart of our Reflexology Walk, her rare, large crystallised surface, adorned with beautiful striations, makes her truly one-of-a-kind.
In our Reflexology Walk, you will be circling ‘Rosie’, our 4 tonne, mini-mountain of rose quartz. She is one of the largest ever found in the world with such a large ‘crystalised face’. If you look closely at her smooth areas, you may notice the rare ‘striations’, or lines on the surface.
Reflexology is an ancient healing art that has been known for thousands of years and was first practiced in early India, China and Egypt. It is based on the principle that there are specific reflex areas on the hands and feet that are linked to the internal organs and other parts of the body. Interesting fact: there are over 7,000 nerve endings in your feet!
Every morning in Asia, millions of people take off their shoes and walk reflexology paths to enhance their wellbeing and to reduce chronic pain. It was recently confirmed in a study by scientists at the Oregon Research Institute that walking barefoot on cobblestone surfaces significantly reduces blood pressure and improves balance and overall physical performance.
Rosie is just one of the many giant crystals at Crystal Castle.
