This winter, something magical stirs deep within the Shambhala Gardens at Crystal Castle…. in the beautiful Byron Bay hinterland! Fairies may remain unseen to us, but their magic can be felt in every whisper of the trees and glimmer of light throughout our beautiful gardens.
Introducing our enchantingly magical new Fairy Trail.
It’s a gentle, nature-inspired adventure perfect for children aged 2 and up and the perfect day out for little ones, their friends, families and grandparents too!
Nestled among towering crystals, ancient trees, and blooming flowers, the Fairy Trail invites families to explore a world guided by the unseen realm of fairies, elves, and gnomes.
Upon arrival at Crystal Castle, you’ll receive a beautifully illustrated fairy map. As you follow the enchanted garden path, you discover 13 of the cutest fairy houses and secret doors, hidden around our giant crystals, in our bamboo grove and gardens, and amongst our trees.
Along the way, you get to solve playful clues, and even unlock a mystery prize at the journey’s end.
Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens is located in the heart of the Byron Bay hinterland, just 20 minutes from Byron Bay and 45 minutes south of Gold Coast Airport, and we’re open every day.
Suitable for children 2 years +, the new Fairy Trail is pram and wheelchair friendly, and is included free with any Day Pass – including the value-packed Family Day Pass.
During mid-year school holidays (Friday 27 June – Sunday 20 July) we’re also offering a new daily family-friendly Crystal Singing Bowls session at 1pm, perfect for your children to experience a sound meditation and learn more about crystals.
During your visit, you’ll find a fun playground with climbing frames, a cubby house, sand pit and a big crystal dragon to climb on.
There’s steaming organic coffee and plenty of nourishing snacks, vegetarian meals and sweet treats at our Lotus Café, which has the best views in Byron Bay.
