2024 UPDATE:

We are thrilled to announce that we are enhancing accessibility throughout our sanctuary with new sealed pathways. We have already completed accessible routes to some of our most cherished attractions, including the Buddha Walk & Blessing Buddha, the Giant Treasure Chest, the new Crystal Labyrinth, the World Peace Stupa, and the Giant Rose Quartz & Reflexology Walk. Over the next few months, we’ll be working to extend these pathways to more areas, so more people can fully enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of our gardens.

Accessibility Map

Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens encompasses a diverse terrain spread across 10 lush hectares. While some pathways are smoothly paved and offer easy navigation, there are sections with varying elevations and surfaces. For guests with mobility considerations, we’ve implemented a series of measures for accessibility. This includes strategically placed ramps to facilitate movement across different levels of the property.

We’re happy to share that all of our crystal displays offer visibility from a wheelchair perspective, but some are better accessed with mobility aids specifically designed for all-terrain surfaces. All key amenities, including lunch options and retail stores, as well as our experiences, are designed with wheelchair accessibility in mind. For personalised guidance on the most suitable routes, our friendly staff at the Welcome Hut or the retail stores will be more than happy to assist you.

Below you will find more detailed information to plan your visit.

Car Park:

Accessible parking spots are conveniently located near the Welcome Hut for your convenience.

Paved Pathways:

At Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens, we’ve incorporated paved pathways that lead to various prominent attractions, including Smoky Mountain, Torii Gate, Dragon Egg, The Enchanted Cave, Peace Dome, Wings To Eternity, the Courtyard, Rose Quartz Fountain & Mural, as well as the Lotus Cafe and the main building, housing all amenities and retail stores. These pathways are designed for easy navigation, and are accessible for prams and wheelchairs.

Gravel Pathways:

We also have a variety of pathways composed of firm gravel. These lead to some of our most popular attractions, including the World Peace Stupa, Bodhi Tree, Rose Quartz and Reflexology Walk, the Wishing Tree, The Crystal Guardians, Buddha Walk, Love Garden, and the Giant Treasure Chest, as well as several of our statues. Given the nature of gravel surfaces, these areas may present challenges for prams and wheelchairs. To ensure a more enjoyable experience, we recommend using mobility aids specifically designed for all-terrain surfaces. Additionally, having a support person or a baby carrier can further enhance your visit.

Not accessible:

Please be aware that the Rainforest Walk is accessible only via steps. The pathway within is characterised by its natural terrain, featuring uneven surfaces, occasional rocks, and tree roots. Given this, navigating with a wheelchair or pram may be challenging. We recommend exploring other accessible areas for a comfortable visit.

Unfortunately, the Bamboo Avenue can only be accessed via steps that are not wheelchair or pram accessible.

Experiences:

Sound Healing and Crystal Intention experiences take place in the Peace Dome, a spacious and wheelchair-accessible area where prams can easily navigate.

The Aura Photo experience is offered in the Crystal Matrix, which is also accessible with a pram or wheelchair.

Access to Building and Toilets:

The majority of pathways leading to the accessible bathroom, shop, cafe, and Peace Dome have ramps or flat pathways instead of steps, making them pram and wheelchair friendly. For your convenience, we have suggested an accessibility route for prams, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids in our map.

We hope this information helps you plan your visit. If you have any further questions or require assistance, our team is here to help. Enjoy your time at Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens!

Crystal Castle has been around for ages and as a long-time local it was one of those places that I always thought I'd get around to visiting... one day.
I finally made it this year, when we visited for my daughter's birthday.
It's a great place to wander around, learn about crystals and enjoy a wonderful meal in the lovely cafe. Highly recommended.

I visited Crystal Castle while on a family trip in August, as soon as you drive in the gates you can feel a peaceful and positive energy surround you,
it's absolutely magical.
