Elves, gnomes, goblins and fairies have moved into the Shambhala Gardens.
Each of the Garden Folk has a village of their own, and every village has doors made from agate and wood. Some sit low among the flowers and stones. Others are tucked up in the trees.
Pick up your map at the Welcome Hut and set off. Look up, look down, look behind you. The Garden Folk are good at hiding.
You won’t see the Garden Folk. But you can find where they live.


When you come to one of the Garden Folks’ villages, place your map over the charm on the post. Rub it with the side of your pencil. See what appears.
Six more crystal creatures are hiding between the villages. Each one has a puzzle, a code or an activity for you on your map. Do them all, then collect your prize at the end.

No, it’s included with your entry pass. Our Welcome Hut team will give you a map when you arrive.
Children aged 3 to 12. Infants 0-3 are free and can join in. There’s a harder puzzle on the back page for older children and adults.
Take it at your own pace. There’s no real set order, and no need to finish it in one visit. Most visitors stay at Crystal Castle for 2.5 to 5 hours.
Just your curiosity. We have pencils for you at the Welcome Hut.
Keep the map and come back. Every standard Day Pass includes 12 months of return visits, so there’s no rush.
Bring your completed map to the Moon Room, near the cafe, and collect your prize.
The Lotus Cafe serves organic coffee, vegetarian meals, food for children and sweet treats, with one of the best views in the hinterland. It’s next to the playground where the trail finishes. So you can have a coffee while they play.
Every day, 10am to 5pm, last entry 4pm NSW time. We’re closed Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
